Operations Management

I have 12 years of experience as CPO/Director Operations at different companies in several branches. In these roles I was responsible for departments including production, warehousing, distribution, planning, engineering, facilities, procurement and customer service.

Supply Chain Management

I have project and line management experience in the fields of (re)allocation, forecasting, demand planning, stock policy, and -planning and production planning.

Logistics Management

I have project and line management experience in the areas of warehouse improvement and transport, including RFI multi-batch order picking, pick-to-carton, WMS implementations, optimal warehouse layout, transport consolidation and sourcing of parcels and freight.

Lean Manufacturing

In 1993 I became acquainted with the Japanese guru Suzaki and the Japanese organisational forms and business structures. With Philips I gained more in-depth knowledge of the methodologies which the Japanese use to produce successfully. As quality manager with Philips DAP I had the unique opportunity to implement these techniques. Later in 2000 I introduced these techniques successfully in the food industry as Operations Director at Johma Salads. I am familiar with Six Sigma techniques such as DOE, SPC and DMAIC and Lean techniques, including 5s, OEE, Value Stream Mapping and the 7 QC tools.

Procurement Management

For 6 years I have led projects at an international publisher and held final responsibility for the procurement and sourcing of paper, print & bind and pre-press in low-cost countries (including China, India, Africa and Eastern Europe), and Non-Product-Related spend, such as lease cars, mobile phones, post & parcels, office supplies, stationery, etc.

ERP implementations

With Frico Cheese I led projects involving the ERP-implementation of SAP R/3 (modules PP and MM). At this time I was in charge of a project team that translated the logistic business needs into a blue print for the SAP MM and PP setup.
